These pages are inspired by a renewable energy course I attended at the Centre for Alternative Technology, a few miles from Machynlleth, mid Wales, in May 2007. Other than being lots of fun, it was truly inspirational to be taught by such enthusiastic, knowedgable and practical people. Thanks to David Hood who led many of the sessions, and also to Duncan Kerridge and Chris Laughton for presentation of their specialist areas.
Although the sections are based on the different lectures and practical sessions, they are not a repetition of the lectures, nor a reproduction of the handouts or any notes I may have taken. If you want these, you need to go to one of C.A.T.'s excellent courses! They do contain what I consider to be the major points and key resources to find out more. I've also added other relevant information and links, which I believe to be accurate in the details given. So, enough waffle!
